The Robin Hood Movie

Nice swords.
Peasants/artisans who know how to use swords, read, and ride horses.
Amusing history.
A slow-motion "NOOOOOOO!"
It ends happier than Gladiator, which is nice. But then, it kind of has to. And you learn that the French are perfidious, that Prince John was a venal idiot, and that...

It has a wonderful cast. Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett, of course. But also Mark Addy as Friar Tuck, and William Hurt and Eileen Atkins (as Eleanor of Aquitaine, of course, and fabulous) and Matthew McFadyen (far too little screen time for Matthew McFadyen, imho), and Max von Sydow...
I really enjoyed myself. It's not a good movie, but it is the sort of movie that you can MSTK3000 at with great glee.
ETA But every time anyone used a perfectly good sword as a crowbar I wanted to scream. Maybe a slow-motion NOOOOOOOOOOO! is in order?
