In other news, Sarcasm Girl called this morning to ask: "Who is jonquil?" A friend of mine, I answer. You've seen her comments in my LJ. "Omigod!" quoth she, as she wont to do. "I just found some fanfic and I think it's by her." Was it good? I ask. "Mom, I didn't read it. That would be too much like...my worlds colliding or something."

We both agreed that it might be better if the fabric of the universe remained unripped, but she seemed fascinated by the smallness of the local world.
