That was the name of the piece each girl in Ballet Shoes learned in order to audition for dance or acting parts.

Today is Avocado's solo audition for a spot at the School of the Arts (aka SOTA--local public arts high school). Meeting at 8am for parents and students (who plans these things? 8 am on Saturday morning? Really?) and the audition itself at 2:50. Tomorrow there's a group audition at the more sensible hour of noon.

If you have any luck lying around, blow a morsel at the kid, will you?

In the living room Avocado and her buddy Amy are video-chatting with A's friend Elizabeth (who lives in the East Bay) and two of A's camp buddies (who live on the East coast). Avocado has introduced all of them to each other through the wonders of teh interweebs.

You know that number called "The Telephone Song" from Bye Bye Birdie, where all the teenagers are gossiping one to another? I am hiding in my room, for fear of my life.
