Bowls In Person
3/1/10 14:03So I gathered my strength and went out looking for a ceramic mixing bowl today. Again, no joy. Results of search:
• Cost Plus. Stainless steel and melamine, no ceramic bowls. Maybe Christmas cleaned them out.
• Williams Sonoma. Beautiful sets of ceramic bowls (all red, for some reason), highly expensive. No one-offs.
• Macy's. The cult of melamine has struck, and it's all Martha Stewart. Ech.
Maybe tomorrow, if I'm feeling bold, I'll venture down town to Sur La Table. I never imagined this would be such a pain in the ass. Granted, I could just order one from The Great Internet Commerce Machine, but I'd like to at least interview the bowl (and make sure it will fit in my cupboard) before I commit. Ah, well. Back to work.
