The Current Book is in three sections, by design, telling the stories of three different participants in the story. The first section is told in my usual tight-3rd person, which means that anything she doesn't know, I don't know (even if I do know it, if you follow what I'm saying).
After trying to write the second part in the same way and crashing up against the rocks over and over, I finally realized that it needed to be told in first person. Even at that, I tried for a while to tell it in first person from the wrong person's POV, only to realize that that didn't work. So then I fixed it, and now I think it's okay.
And now: the third part seems to want to be told in 3rd person but from two different POVs. Every time I try to cut it down to one POV I go into a writerly tailspin and bad things happen. So far, I'm going with it. But this is, to put it mildly, an unusual course for one of my books to take, and it makes me a little nervous.
What are you trying to tell me, Guys?
