madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
Just back from SF in SF, which was delightful. Kage Baker read a couple of chapters from a new kids' book that I would love to read more of, and I read most of the opening chapter of Sarah Tolerance Book 4 (which, in retrospect, much as I love it, is a leetle bit too much in parts like ST 3--must work on that) which seemed well recieved. Was interviewed in concert with Kage, and we had a nice synergy of interests and approach, despite how different our work is.

I'm always startled by how authoritative I sound when I'm in a performance situation (which a reading is). It reminds me of how much I like performing.
