She is Alice (I hope that's clear from the costume, upon which I lavished much care--including ironing it with starch last night!) and looks refinedly faux-Victorian except for the hair, which she insisted in putting in pigtails. She asked me please to put "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" labels on her lunch, which I did. She is wearing the costume to school of course, which means that by the time she hits the streets for candy acquisition she'll be rumpled and less starchy. Oh Well; she'll still be cute.

Sarcasm Girl is going as "Guitar Hero." Film at eleven, but she too will be out at a party all evening. For the first time in mumble years, the Spouse and I can dole out candy without worrying about who is going where and will be back when. I consider this the upside of growing older: they do too.
