madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
This morning the spouse went dashing out of the house--only to call me five minutes later, panicking a tad because he'd left a bit of micro gear here and if he circled around could I come outside and hand if off to him?

So I do so. In my nightgown and tousled hair, standing on the pavement (bare-footed) waiting for him to show up. Four people (three women, one man) go by as I'm standing there, all dressed for day jobs, with their hair combed, looking like people. Well, at least I was wearing my good Lanz nightgown, the one with a discernible pattern and no holes. But still.

Girl Scouts has started up again. At this evening's meeting, while Avocado and her Cadette buddies were meeting about something or other, I was grabbed by the Juniors co-leader to talk to her girls about being a small business owner (very small: me). Suddenly I'm talking about all the things that go into writing and keeping track of money and writing query letters and... the girls decided to put together an anthology and I gave them a challenge: I'd write a story if they would. They get to write their stories about anything. I have to write a story that incorporates:
Eating hot Cheetos
Scuba diving
Harry Potter
A greedy prince
Languages
Girl Scouts

I have two weeks. Film at eleven.
