You all seem like a clever and perspicacious lot. Next week I'm going up to Seattle for the wedding of my brother's eldest stepson and his sweetie. They are both Air Force jet pilots (I think that's kind of cool). Anyway, I'm going up a few days early, in order to make myself useful. The wedding is being held in Seattle...why? I dunno. Bride and groom are stationed in Arizona. My brother and his wife live outside Cinncinnati. Not sure where the bride's family is from. In any case, it's being managed as a long-distance project. My experience with weddings is there are always last minute rear guard actions by the Cosmic Guffaw (like the wedding where I wound up mending the bride's hat before she could walk down the aisel). So, to be helpful, I am bringing a sewing kit and Scotch tape; can anyone think of anything else that would be useful to bring to a wedding where no one (apparently) is local? Just wondering.
