I Got a Rep
27/4/08 16:19This morning, while I was fruitlessly looking for vinyl-clad wire dish racks (something the Spouse had at his parents' house that he yearns for) he took Emily to the dog park for an hour of ballistic retrieval practice. One of the other dog-parents said, "Hey, Emily's here!" and then asked where the Spouse's book was. "That's my wife. She's the one who always has a book." "Yeah," the other guy said. "I watch her, talking on the phone, reading, and throwing the ball for Emily. She's like the Queen of Multi-taskers."
C'est moi, although I have to admit that at the park I'm usually either reading and throwing or talking-on-the-phone and throwing. All three at once requires more hands than I have. Still, it's nice to be admired by strangers.
