Shiny!!!!!

I am not normally a fan of the repeated exclamation mark to denote excitement, emphasis, or psychosis. However, there are Shiny Things in my kitchen! The appliances are being installed. I will be able to cook, and get a glass of seltzer without going out to the back yard! I am filled with, like, glee and stuff. Shinyshinyshinyshinyshiny!

Okay, I'm done with that now.

Here's a photo of the kitchen as it is this afternoon: the fridge isn't really blue, it's just swathed in plastic. The greeny bits between the tiles are just spacers. What you don't see is the sink (on the right) and the dishwasher.

It's still not finished, of course, but the light at the end of the tunnel has begun to flicker in the distance.
