This morning Avocado was not feeling well, and stayed home from school. Seizing the opportunity to read the editorials and Letters to the Editor in the Chronicle, she had a strong response to one of the letters, to wit:
1/31/08

Editor:

I was very disturbed by Don Lee's letter to you (Jan. 30th '08). Republicans aren't always bad, and sure, we've had some bad ones before; George W. Bush, Nixon, and George Bush, for example. If you would vote for someone only becuase they get the democratic vote, that isn't very patriotic of you. We have had good Democratic and Republican presidents, and a share of some bad ones too. But take into consideration that Hillary Clinton is not her husband. I think the citizens of America should get to know all candidates plans, and not vote for them because they were the other party's vote. So if you have opinions and disagreements about the letter to the editor, speak up! For I am only a 12 year old girl, expressing her feelings to San Francisco.
