"Apparently the President is suffering with the rest of Hollywood from the writer's strike."
--Ellen Tauscher, D-Walnut Creek, CA, on the State of the Union Address
Is it possible that that's been the problem with the President all along? He was anticipating the WGA strike as early as 9/11 (that would explain that fixed, blank stare when he was informed of the attack on the Towers and Pentagon), and all his policies have been cobbled together without the help of people who write--and construct convincing narrative--for a living?
Okay, maybe not. But it would explain a lot.
