madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
Mumbledy years ago, I was invited to write a story for an anthology of Arthurian stories, Invitation to Camelot, edited by Parke Godwin. I like Arthuriana, but know not so much about it. Still, I did research and wrote a story, "Nimue's Tale," in which I split Nimue and Vivienne (who are often conflated) and had one a novice at the convent headed by the other. Magic and a certain amount of mayhem ensue. I enjoyed writing the story, but it was published long enough ago that by now it would be able to buy a drink in any state in the union. so I was startled to find the story referenced in Rewriting the Women of Camelot: Arthurian Popular Fiction and Feminism (Contributions to the Study of Science Fiction and Fantasy), a book listing for $105.00. I'm an academic data point.
