Meanwhile

YG is home with a bum tum today. SG filled out the UC online application form last night--all but the Personal Statement, which she is working herself into a right proper froth about. Spouse is in NYC until Sunday. So I am pretty much All Mama All the Time.

Locally: on one street we walk down to get to St. Mary's Dog Park there were two toilets sitting out on the sidewalk the other day with a sign reading "Free Toilets!/Toilettes Gratis!" And last night someone abandoned another toilet across the street from us. Is there something in the air?

Oh, Crap

Apparently someone has an adolescent sense of humor. When I arrived with Emily at our favored dog park today one of the two trash cans (cement, with a metal hood over it) was minus its top and taped heavily with CAUTION yellow tape. It seems that late last night someone threw a fairly serious firecracker in the trash can, blowing the metal top off and...urp...causing the contents of the trash can to liquify and seep out onto the tarmac surrounding it. Since the only thing anyone throws into the trash can at the dog park is dog feces, well, like I said: Urp.

Someone not only has a childish sense of humor but way too much time on his hands.
