As I have observed before, I grew up in a barn. I have long experience with living in a space meant to be one thing which was adapted to some new use. So I was thrilled to see, via Making Light, that there are spaces more bizarre than our barn. An enterprising couple with lots of money bought and have refinished a missile site. Lots of space, and a unique environment (missile silo control panels! multiple toilets!). Not for the claustrophobic, of course: underground housing can feel awfully...underground. But cool, nonetheless.
