Bad Things

Beverly Sills dead, and Scooter Libby's walking away from prison. I'd been hearing that Sills was ailing, so that was no surprise, but I frankly, in my silly, idealistic way, I hoped that since Libby was convicted, a wee tiny bit of justice might be had. Foolish me. And as jonquil notes, Bush seems to be masking the whole thing with a sort of weird pay-no-attention-to-the-man-behind-the-curtain syntax, as if some other guy bailed Libby out, and Bush is just grateful not to have had to do it himself.
