And now, Middle School

YG was promoted in a funny, sweet ceremony. All the kids were dressed up (some girls looked like they were wearing bridesmaid gowns or prom dresses, and some of the boys wore rented formal suits) and they sang various songs: "San Francisco," "You've Got a Friend," and "Rainbow Connection," all to that unfortunate school-music-teacher march tempo. Carol King is somewhere shaking her head.

YG won a President's Academic Achievement Award, and was the student who led the Pledge of Allegiance. I was giving a V.I.Parent thank you certificae for my volunteer work. It was all swell.
