Felicitations
13/5/07 11:24...to all who are Mothers, or have had mothers. May your day be balmy and relaxed, with good things to eat and cooperative children around you.
I was wakened at 9 (three hours later than usual!) with the Sunday NY Times and breakfast: coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal and strawberries. I'm saving the oatmeal for lunch, but the eggs were hot and the coffee was good. Then I was presented with a pedicure set (from the Spouse), two highly scented bottles of body lotion (YG), and two books (SG). Plus a "cupon book" from YG which included coupons for a "Day of No Work," a "Dinner at an Italian Restaurant at Home" and "Spa Day." I'm having my spa day today, which includes an aromatherapy bath (with every single bubble bath or bath salt in the house poured into the tub, and candles all over the bathroom--several in places which threatened to explode Spouse's can of shaving cream or melt SG's disposible razor), an avocado face mask, and a pedicure. Theoretically a massage comes later. And we're going to meet Spouse's sister and her family for an early dinner. I'm slightly exhausted from all the pampering.
May I wish as much, in your own ways, to all of you.
