...has been full of small excitements. At 7:30 this morning a truck pulled up and deposited 2800 boxes (that's 24 cases) of assorted Girl Scout Cookies; I am now the Goddess o'Cookies from now until 3/25, when the sale ends. YG is still home with her cold/ear infection, though tomorrow she is going to be up on her feet and selling cookies if it kills me. And her.
I went to the opthalmologist to find out what was up with my eye. Cellulitis in the tissue surrounding the eye. Keep taking the Zithromax and try warm compresses, and try to ignore the fact that when I woke up this morning I looked like Quasimodo's better-groomed younger sister, the one without the hump. Eew. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will look less Lon-Chaney-like.
Then, as I was driving over to feed a friend's cats, I saw two police cars tearing down San Jose Street in pursuit of a white pickup truck (two passengers, the driver wearing a do-rag or dark bandana) in the opposite direction. The pickup was weaving in and out of traffic, going up on a median strip then clomping down again, going hell for leather. It and the two cop cars passed by me. Then two more police cars after that. Then four more. And a police van, and more police cars. I stopped counting after 13 cop cars; I'd sure like to know what that was about.
