It's gray and foggy today. I don't doubt that the bronchitis itself is gone, but I've got the routine residual cough that is deep as a fog horn, worse at night, and exhausting. Last night after dinner I went to bed and, other than visits from the Young who came in to see whether I was dying or not, read in lonely splendor for three whole hours. The rest seems to have helped--it took three hours today before the cough came back. This morning Spouse took the car, because he has a mid-day doctor's appointment for a persistent shoulder pain. But Sarcasm Girl is home sick, and I'd really like to get her in to her doctor because this stomachbug/headache/sore throat has been lingering for more than a week. And last night YG asked me why she had a bump in her nose--and indeed, inside her right nostril is what looks like a wart; the doctor should see that, too. How to schedule all this around SG (at home), YG (at school), and my lack of car? I will put my mighty, if slightly cough-syrup-addled, brain to work.

I'm hoping to go out and play darts later today, on the theory that I deserve a break today.

Meanwhile: I need to come up with a better nickname for YG than YG, which merely celebrates her younger-ness, not her redoubtability, enthusiasm, or general splendor. Thinking.
