Best Laid Plans

I had this weekend all mapped out: Younger Girl has a Girl Scout camporee that starts tonight and goes through to Sunday noon. Only YG has been laid up with a slight earache and a considerable stomach ache for the last couple of days (went to the doctor yesterday, who discovered the nascent ear infection; the belly pain doesn't seem to be appendicitis or anything else readily diagnosible, so heating pads, rest, and a bland diet were ordered). The kid has missed three days of school, one middle school tour, and now, the camporee.

And Sarcasm Girl has the SAT tomorrow.

I'm thinking an early bedtime tonight, and lots of ice cream tomorrow night.
