New Baby

It's a book! Just got the mass market edition of Point of Honour this morning. Production has, at least on the outside, done a smashing job: lightened up the background to a warm burgundy with the faintest hint of patterns (like worn Morocco leather with gold embossing on it), which puts some roses in Sarah's cheeks (the art always made her look vaguely vampiric, which is intriguing but not appropriate to the character). The type is good--I'm a type designer's daughter, and more than that, having shepherded covers through production at Tor myself, I know all the ways in which type can go bad, and the whole thing just looks good. I'm going to have to re-read it to find the inevitable typos....

Go out there and fly, little book. Sell many copies. Spread the gospel according to Miss Tolerance.
