Avocado walked from Zeum to the main branch library downtown today. She had forgotten that that particular strip of real estate contains a portion of the red light district, and the sight of my 15 year old's long limbs (she was wearing a romper and patterned tights--but the romper is short) and became uncomfortably aware that she was drawing attention. Only one man commented, at which point she reeled around to him and said "That is not okay! I am fifteen years old!"
