A Window Into the Past

Via Making Light, a ten minute color film of London ca. 1927. Immediately I'm seeing Peter Wimsey walking through those streets--well, maybe not the scrum on Petticoat Lane, but certainly on St. James's--and remembering the scene in A Monstrous Regiment of Women where Holmes winds up in the Thames and is fished out.
