Darth Vader's Ankle Sock
Here are my crutches. As of 11am today, they are ex-utensils. (Actually, I'm using one as a cane until I can get a nice cane.) Emily is soooo happy to have the Evil Silver Sticks go away.
And here is my shoe for the next two weeks: the boot I've been wearing is also a walking cast, and I am walking on it. It's weird: the toe part doesn't hurt much, but my ankle and heel are not thrilled about the whole thing. Still, after going out to lunch and buying some fabric for a Sekrit Project, I'm beginning to feel like I might, in fact, Walk Again.
But not for an hour or two. It's cool drink and lounging time again.
ETA Just ordered a handsome cane, the better to lope down the street with (well, staggering is more my style right now...but I have twice been down to the basement, and I made dinner. Cooking with two hands is great!)
