Elsewhere

Elsewhere it is summer, I'm told.

Here, I wore my windbreaker, with a pashmina shawl wrapped around my neck, to go to the dog park with Emily today. It is, in the words of my children, fucking cold out there. Not northeast -20 below cold, but the kind of clammy chilly that makes me want to retire to my bed and drink hot chocolate for hours. Or maybe bathe in hot chocolate.

San Francisco is, I am convinced, only California by policy. Brr.
