Taking Advantage of National Calamity

I have been increasingly irritated by TV commercials which start out "In this economy" and suggest that you'll be ahead of the game if you buy dinner at KFC, get your investment advice from Price Waterhouse, your insurance from Allstate, and snack at Quiznos. As I toddle through job-search-land I'm getting sick of it.

However, I have now, as the cat says in the Warner Bros. cartoon, seen everything. A Domino's commercial with the "Secretary of Taste" going on about a "taste bailout" plan, and ending up with "ask not what your crust can do for you; ask whether it has cheese on it."

What the hell does that mean, anyway? Domino's makes a decent pizza, but I think I'll get my dinner elsewhere.
