As the Sun Sets in the West
I am at the Tucson airport, ready to head home. Southwest has delayed my flight by an hour, which means I missed an extra hour of
klages-
coffeeem-
willshetterley goodness. But there's A/C (not a trivial thing when it's hovering near or at the 100° mark) and free wi-fi.
I got work done. Lots. I had fun. At least as much. I saw a roadrunner this morning, and a scorpion, and a peacock. Well, the peacock was unexpected. And I saw the defunct copper mines in Bisbee and took a tour of a Tombstone silver mine, and drank margaritas and single malt, although not at the same time, and made croissants and shortcake. And talked and listened and laughed. I am now all full of refreshment, and ready to dive back into family life and other chaos.
