Money Well Spent
1) New sofa bed for Sarcasm Girl and the Boyfriend. They'd been sleeping on a foam mattress topper doubled up, which can't have been good for their spines. As the girl burbled her thanks I told her: "this is your dowry. We ran out of goats."
2) Summer basic clothes for Avocado for camp. Camp bags must be packed and shipped in 7 days. Not certain the girl understands the imminence of the situation, but I'm happy to make it clear to her--with the sole of my foot, if necessary. Like Dug in Up, the child keeps being distracted from shorts and T-shirts by shiny things; my only comment (repeated) was: "SQUIRREL!"
