It's a Busy Life

For reasons I cannot go into right now (I have been sworn to secrecy regarding the purpose of the project) I have spent much of the weekend making a baby dress and bonnet. For Sarcasm Girl. No, she's not expecting. She's playing a baby. Sort of. Tomorrow I sew on the lace to make the resulting object look all fluffy and babylike.

And I made sugar skulls and bats to go with the sugar spiders I made the other night.

And this week for frosting class I have to bring in three frosted two-layer tiers to assemble into a three-tier cake.

Tuesday Sarcasm Girl is recording a song she wrote for the Super Secret Baby project.

Wednesday we have to bring snack for the softball team.

Thursday I have to start baking again: Friday Avocado is Scout of the Day, and we've promised two cakes (Halloween-themed, per the girl's request): one chocolate with orange buttercream, piped spider webs and sugar spiders and bats; the other yellow cake with chocolate butter cream and sugar skulls.

Saturday we're going up to my sister-in-law's 50th party--an Obama fundraiser. I am bringing a gluten-free cake. So I'm likely to to be making flowers this week, too.

And I'm going to write, too. Honest.
